Diagnostic testing plays a role in both routine and emergency veterinary care.

While performing a hands-on physical examination tells our vets a lot about your pet’s overall health and condition, diagnostic testing allows them to monitor what’s going on inside your pet’s body and diagnose injuries and illnesses. Testing can also be used to monitor baseline values and detect potential problems while they are still in their earliest stages.

At Coral Springs Animal Medical Center, we are thrilled to provide in-house diagnostics in Coral Springs. Rather than needing to send your pet or their samples elsewhere, we are equipped to perform many tests on-site. This allows us to diagnose problems quickly and is less stressful for both pets and their owners.

Our Diagnostic Capabilities

We provide both laboratory testing and diagnostic imaging. Our laboratory services include:

Complete blood counts (CBC)

Internal parasite screening

Biochemical blood testing

Canine and feline heartworm testing

Complete urinalysis

Cytology

We can run most blood, urine, and fecal tests in-house. However, we may need to send your pet’s samples to an outside laboratory for testing in some circumstances. If your dog or cat needs a test that needs to be processed elsewhere, we will discuss this with you before proceeding.

We also have digital x-ray, ultrasound, and CT equipment. These tools allow us to capture detailed images of pets’ internal structures, and we rely on them for diagnosing injuries and illnesses, monitoring pregnancies, and more.
